Our Practice

Welcome to Village Veterinary Practice!   We consider it a privilege to be chosen as your pet’s healthcare provider and look forward to building a relationship with your family!

Our Mission:  Village Veterinary Practice was established to care for your pet as a family member.  By utilizing the latest medical advancements, technology, and Fear Free practices, we strive to make the family-pet bond as healthy and happy as possible so your pets can live life to the fullest.

Our Vision:  Since 2000, our vision at Village Veterinary Practice is that all companion animals deserve the best quality of life possible.  It is that belief which drives our dedicated team to create a partnership of trust through honest communication, and by treating all who enter the practice with respect, dignity, and compassion.

Core Values:   We put our whole ♥ HEART ♥ into everything we do!

HAPPINESS

We are proud of the care and service we provide and find great fulfillment in the purpose of what we do.  We promote happiness to our patients through Fear Free initiatives and cuddles, to our clients and community by building meaningful relationships, and to our team by being encouraging and supportive.

EXCELLENCE

We will act with the highest level of ethics and integrity, incorporate attention to detail in every action, and speak up if something doesn't seem right.

ADVANCEMENT

We believe in the continuous pursuit of knowledge, embracing new technology, and evolving with veterinary medicine.    We encourage and assist our team in their individual journeys for growth with the goal of making life better for our team, clients and patients.

RESPECT

We care deeply about what we do, the animals and people we serve, and each other.  We interact with empathy and kindness, assume positive intent and put in the extra effort to create a compassionate and comfortable environment for all.

TEAMWORK

We will communicate and work cooperatively with each other and the communities we serve to build trusted relationships, foster connections, and create inclusive spaces where everyone is seen, heard, belongs, and is respected and valued.

Two Locations
Village Veterinary Practice has two locations to better serve you. Our shared computer database holds both practices’ appointment calendars and every single patient’s medical record so that we can access your pet’s information instantly, regardless of which practice you call or visit.

AAHA Accredited
Village Veterinary Practice is proud to be accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association. Our hospitals have been evaluated on over 900 standards of veterinary excellence and have been awarded this status – one that only 15% of veterinary hospitals in the country attain!

Fear Free Certified Veterinary Professionals
We recognize that a visit to the veterinary hospital can cause a great deal of fear, anxiety, and stress for our patients, and by extension, our clients as well.

That’s why so many of our team members have gone through the educational process of becoming Fear Free Certified Professionals.   Once certification has been achieved, it must be maintained with specific Fear Free continuing education courses annually.

What is Fear Free?
Fear Free has become one of the single most transformative initiatives in the history of companion animal practice, providing unparalleled education on emotional wellbeing, enrichment, and the reduction of fear, anxiety, and stress in pets and improving the experience of every human and pet involved.

Our goal is to provide you and your pet with the best experience possible when you visit our hospital.  To aid in that goal:

  • We may advise the use of pre-visit pharmaceuticals in some patients prior to their appointment to reduce their fear, anxiety & stress to make a calmer and safer visit for all.
  • The music playing in our exam rooms is scientifically proven to calm dogs and cats.
  • Pheromone sprays that only pet’s can detect are used on towels, blankets and team uniforms to help patients relax.
  • Our team uniforms reflect a color that is appealing to our patients’ range of vision.
  • And finally, low stress handling techniques are utilized alongside a variety of different of treat options to make patients happier!
